Work has now started on site for a new rail control centre at Kingswear Station. The new building will accommodate offices for the Dart Valley Railway who run the heritage steam trains between Paignton and Kingswear. The inspiration for the design comes from Victorian signal box architecture and the intention is to create high quality modern office space suitable for this important local tourism business within a building that sits comfortably next to the Brunel designed listed station building.
