Commercial Development of Queens Parks Station

MTA Architects fought off stiff competition from other top practices in Devon to win an architectural

competition for the redevelopment of Queens Park Station in Paignton for Dart Valley Railway.

The project will include a new terminus building, platform canopy and restoration shed for this very popular

steam railway attraction. Paignton is the HQ for the railway which takes passengers on a scenic journey to

Dartmouth. The project poses some fascinating architectural issues with the intention to create an attractive, contemporary building reflecting the rich architectural heritage of Victorian railway buildings.
