New House Designs Presented to the Torbay Design Review Panel
MTA's proposals for two unique new houses on the hillside above Brixham Town Centre were very well received
by the Torbay Design Review Panel. This panel meet periodically throughout the year to discuss important
design projects in Torbay. The illustrious panel of experts complimented the proposals and made only minor
comments on detailed design issues. The houses will feature many energy saving features such as rain water
harvesting, grey water recycling, solar panels for hot water and photo-voltaic cells for producing electricity.
Green roofs and other natural materials form part of the an overall composition to allow these modern houses
to sit comfortably in their surroundings. An application for formal planning approval will be made in 2010.
