Primley Court nursing home is adjacent to another nursing home designed by MTA Architects for the same
client in the 1990s. An existing Victorian villa was refurbished and extended with a new wing of 27 bedrooms
giving a total capacity of 47 residents. This was a challenging project because of the steeply sloping site and
the strict guidelines issued by the Department of Health for minimum standards for care homes for elderly
people. The result is an efficient and attractive building providing high quality nursing home accommodation.
