This new house is located at the intersection of an elevated section of a main road and a main line railway line in the countryside near Rattery in South Devon. The unique characteristics and constraints of the site called for carefully considered design to minimise the impact of its noisy neighbours and maximise views out over the beautiful countryside in the other directions. A mixture of render and timber cladding have been used in the composition of the elevations to give a smart contemporary appearance to this new house.
