Linden was considered to be of low architectural value and diluted the character and appearance of the immediate area which is within the Brixham Town Conservation Area.

 

The Client’s design brief was to provide a new contemporary extension which would give the existing tired looking property a new sense of being.

 

The new owners wished to capitalise on the elevated position and opportunity for extensive sea views. A new zinc clad extension was built on the northern elevation and oriented in a north-easterly direction facing the harbour bowl. The size and position of the new extension was carefully placed to avoid any loss of view from the neighbouring property.
